Rage Memes

So as a follow up to my philosoraptor thread, I've made a Rage meme thread. The Rage meme is a branch off of Rage Comics, with were tiny little comics. Click this link here- http://adf.ly/2kXiX to go see it. I made it an adfly link because I'm seeing how well it works. I'm also doing this as a form of study, because I plan on doing an adfly review. I used Google Picasa's web albums to make this, because Ryan didn't want me covering up the "actual content", but let's be honest, you only found this site through my philisoraptor post. Anyway, I also want to thank any of you who have come back to this site, and didn't just come here once to read a review or something.

EDIT: Sorry the adfly link doesn't appear as a link, just highlight it and copy it. Also, if you want me to do another meme post, go to the forum here: http://z15.invisionfree.com/The_Neon_Void/index.php?showtopic=148 and sign up. I made a thread for anyone who has any ideas.

Kanye West - Late Registration REVIEW

01. Wake up Mr. West

Intro thats funny the first time, nothing special, but interesting opening to the album I suppose.

02. Heard 'Em Say - (featuring Adam Levine of Maroon 5)

I really enjoy the production of this track, it's not extravagant or anything, but its simple and feels perfectly simple. Some deep lyrics from Kanye with a slightly monotonous flow (only bad thing about the song). Adam Levine is enjoyable. A great opening to the album, it sets the mood very well. 8.5/10

03. Touch the Sky - (featuring Lupe Fiasco)

Arguably the song that showed the world Lupe Fiasco, and we thank it for that. Simple hook, energetic story-like verses that are just fun lyrics to listen to. Kanye is just celebrating (and if your debut album was considered classic and you were put on by your idol). Lupe delivers a flawless third verse. The production is perfect for the song it is, a fun, "time to celebrate" kinda track. 10/10

04. Gold Digger - (featuring Jamie Foxx)

Pretty sure everyones heard this song, and it's exactly what the title is. A story of a Kanye's love towards a girl who was just looking for some cash. A quick, catchy, fun, true song. The production is amazing, but Jamie Foxx in the background of the verses gets slightly annoying. Other than that this song is amazing. 9.5/10

05. Skit #1

just a skit

06. Drive Slow - (featuring Paul Wall & GLC)

Jazz-y production, slowed, serious Kanye lyrics & flow start this song off, marvelously. I'm not a Paul Wall fan (at all) but he is at the least enjoyable here, nothing special, but doesn't take from the song. Same with GLC, but he is a bit better than Paul Wall. 7/10

07. My Way Home - (featuring Common)

Common on this song with classic Common (which is a very good thing, as Common is an amazing rapper). Very nice sample chorus, and production. No Kanye here, just Common on classic Kanye production. to short though, 8.5/10

08. Crack Music - (featuring The Game)

Another classic 'Ye beat, and a very interesting verse that compares selling CDs to selling, well, Crack. Kanye's second verse holds up the high bar set. No Game verse though...which is disappointing, but the outro is amazing and hilarious. 9.5/10

09. Roses

This is one of my favorite Kanye West songs. This is one of my favorite songs of all time. Simplistic, beautiful production underneath Kanye's extremely emotional, perfectly delivered verses are only pieces of this song. The hook is amazing as well. You can really feel 'Ye's words, and can feel the story he's telling throughout the song. The extended Kanye-esque outro allows the beautiful lyrics to sink in before the next song plays. 10/10

10. Bring Me Down - (featuring Brandy)

Some nice strings open this song up before Brandy graces the track with very nice vocals. Piano keys and the rest of the instruments kick in right before Kanye begins a verse that is dissing the current state of hip-hop, how since Pac passed away, most rappers don't even deserve a track from him, and how they want his help now that he's where he's at, but they wouldn't have put him on when he was starting. Brandy laces the hook/bridge with more spectacular vocals over the ominous orchestral production. 10/10

11. Addiction

Bring Me Down flows effortlessly into this song. Kanye starts off wondering how bad things feel good, which is the basis of this song, how he's and others are addicted to things like drugs, fame, money, ect. Kanye is on his amazing autopilot again, easily flowing over the dark, ominous, simple production that emphasizes the simply used sample. Good song. 8.5/10

12. Skit #2

just another skit

13. Diamonds From Sierra Leone Remix (featuring Jay-Z)

Another song I really love. Brilliantly used sample, amazing production and perfect verses from Kanye and Jay-Z, who have perfect chemistry together on the mic. Kanye raps about real issues about blood diamonds from Sierra Leone, and is honest how he knows about the conflict behind the diamonds but still says he can't give up his diamonds. Jay drops some of his best lines here "difficult takes a day, impossible takes a week" "I'm not a business man, I'M A BUSINESS, MAN". Jay is at his best here. 10/10

14. We Major - (featuring Nas & Really Doe)

Kanye spits some stuff that a bunch of people can relate to, on a laid back track. "feeling better than some head on a sunday afternoon, better than a chick that says yes to soon, until you have a daughter, thats what I call karma and you pray she don't grow breasts to soon". The Nas comes in wondering what he should write to the beat, ironically laying down a very good verse. Great production and outro, has a very cinematic, musical feel to it. Right as you thought the song was over...Kanye exclaims "can I talk my shit again?!" and the beat comes back one, he doesn't drop another verse but yells out his label, Rocafella, and G.wth.gif.D. Music. He also explains the title Late Registration, and closes the song with a great outro. 9.5/10

15. Skit #3

just another skit

16. Hey Mama

Heartfelt, innocent hook from Kanye. Much like Roses you can feel Kanye's words here, but these are on the other end of the spectrum, this track is optimistic, how he promised his mom when he grew up that she wouldn't have to work no more, and how it's finally true. He continually praises her for all the things she did for him, and for believing in him. Kanye feels vulnerable, honest, and raw here. 10/10

17. Celebration

Cinematic production. Nothing extraordinary, but this is classic Kanye. A nice soul sample, laid back flow with nice lyricism and fun lyrics and subject. This song is extremely enjoyable. 10/10

18. Skit #4

another skit

19. Gone - (featuring Consequence & Cam'Ron)

Up tempo production, that once again sounds amazing. A great verse from Kanye with good lyricism, good lyrics and Kanye's signature flow. Cons has an enjoyable verse here as well, no complaints about him at all. Same with Cam'Ron, but he is a bit more enjoyable than Cons, and better lyrics. A fun song, but a low point of the album (that doesn't mean it's bad...). Kanye's second verse is amazing and brings the song up greatly however. 8/10

20. Diamonds From Sierra Leone - (Bonus Track)

The original, and much like the remix, is an amazing song. These Kanye verses are just as great as the ones on the remix, but it is missing the classic HOVA verse, still an amazing song. 9.5/10

21. Late

Flawless production and use of the sample. Classic Kanye flow and delivery and great lyrics. No disappointment at all. 9/10

Average: 9.2
Title: Classic Album

I love Game Stop

So I just ordered something from them, and I was reading some of the stuff under all the info, and I found this: "Your credit card will not be billed until your order actually ships. The packing slip included in each shipment also serves as your receipt and makes a great paper airplane."

In Russia...touch Putin's hand after touching 1,000 pairs of boobs

This was an actual mission by a Russian man. And he succeeded. He effectively got more than Matt ever will in less than 20 minutes

Tyops I do all the time

Here are some typos:
  • I almost always hit the ; key, instead of the '.
  • A lot of the time, I will mix up the i and e in a word, like in the last post, I almost always put sheild instead of shield.
I can't think of any others at the moment. Hopefully I'm not the only one who has these problems.

Captain America (SPOILERS)

So I just came back from seeing the new movie. It stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving, and Dominic Cooper. First off, I liked it. I wouldn't say it was the best movie ever, but it was still good. It was definitely better then some of the other movies I've seen recently. I saw Rango and that was kind of stupid.

Back to Captain America. It started off in a snowy area, where some people find some kind of huge metallic object. They go into it and find something round with a white star on it. Now it goes back to the 40's. It doesn't tell you this, but it happened. During this time, there's a lot of dialogue. I almost felt like it was going too fast. It did show how Steve Rodgers was a wimp, and was just too small to actually win a fight. His best friend, "Bucky" is also introduced. He is an average guy, but stands up for Steve, and is a good friend. Steve has tried to join the army 5 times, in different places, all of them saying he was from a different place (that's illegal). His 6th time, we meet the German scientist who makes Steve Captain America. We then also meet the love interest, who is a British agent named Peggy Carter. After a while, Steve becomes super strong, and about 6 inches taller through a medical procedure done by the scientist, and who I would believe is Tony Stark's grandfather, Howard Stark.

The German scientist then gets shot in the heart, by a German spy, right after Steve becomes super human. Steve then chases the man and kills him, becoming a hero. He is then named Captain America, and does shows for a few months. He then tries to do a show in front of a group of soldiers who aren't as amused. Steve then learns that Bucky, who got into the military, and the rest of the squad that was captured by the bad guys who are in an organization called Red Skull, which later becomes Hydra after the leader decides to branch off of the Nazis.

He then goes on a solo mission to rescue them. This is the first time we get to see him in action. He's more stealthy though, because he doesn't have much armor, and only has a regular shield. He gets all of them freed, including whoever else was captured, but not before the leader of Hydra, decides to blow the place up in an attempt to hide all of the power they were harnessing from this little cube thing, and kill the Captain. The leader of Hydra, then pulls his face off... Yes. He pulls his face off, revealing a red skull, which turns out to be the side effect of another experiment that was done by the German scientist who was mentioned earlier. He then escapes. Bucky then walks across a beam to get to safety, but right before it breaks. The Captain then has to jump across, as he has no other choice.

The camera then changes mid jump, to a Colonel telling a Lieutenant what to type into a type writer, saying that Captain America has died. We then see everyone else in the camp get all exited over something. We then see Captain America and the 400 other soldiers he saved, walking up a hill.

This is when he finally gets some respect. He then gets new armor, and his shield. He also makes a team, composing of some of the people he saved. Then there's a montage of about 10 different missions they went on. I love these, you really get to see Captain America in action. After that, Mr. America gets some. Not really, but he does start making out with an intern, right before Peggy finds them, and interrupts them. They go on a few more missions, and a movie is made of him that Peggy sees, and Steve has a pocket watch with a picture of Peggy in it.

The Captain then devises a huge plan to raid Hydra's main base. He kills some of the Hydra soldiers, and then gets captured. He ends up in the main room of the base, in front of Red Skull. Three of the American soldiers then break through the glass and into the room. More people are cued, and a big fight scene starts. Red Skull then tries to escape into a jet. The Captain is too slow to catch him by running, but the Colonel shows up in Red Skull's car with Peggy. They then quickly speed up to catch it. While doing this, Steve finally kisses Peggy. He jumps, and barely makes it. The car then stops right before the edge of the cliff.

The Captain gets in and sees that the inside is filled with nukes, labeled Chicago, Boston, and New York. He fights his way up to Red Skull, and fights him. Red Skull then holds the power cube in his hands, and he goes into another dimension. Steve finds out how close he is to New York, and he can't cancel the bomb dropping. Captain America then has a heart breaking talk with Peggy, who is back at the base, saying they will dance next Saturday. The Captain then dives the plane into an isolated snowy area. He then wakes up in a hospital, hearing a baseball game on the radio... back in the 40's. A nurse comes in and he then realizes that he was at the game that's being played on the radio. He busts out of the room, and finds himself in modern day New York. Soldiers surround him, and he's told by some guy that he's been asleep for 70 years. He says that he's ok, but he missed a date. The movie then ends.

Go see this movie if you haven't, it's worth it alone just too see the action scenes. Something I noticed though, I saw almost no bullets or muzzle flairs, yet somehow the Hydra soldiers were dying. I saw a lot of the blue stuff Hydra was shooting, but not many bullets. But besides that, you need to go see this movie.
